Tutorverse includes a built-in Messages system designed to keep all communication between students and tutors organised and in one place. You never need to share personal contact details to coordinate your lessons.
Sending a Message
- Log in to your Tutorverse account.
- Navigate to Messages from the main menu.
- Select an existing conversation or start a new one with a tutor or student.
- Type your message and click Send.
When to Use Messages
The Messages system is ideal for:
- Pre-lesson coordination: Share specific topics you'd like to cover, send study materials, or confirm logistics.
- Post-lesson follow-up: Ask follow-up questions, request additional resources, or discuss future sessions.
- General enquiries: Ask a tutor about their teaching approach before booking.
Notifications
You'll receive a notification whenever you have a new unread message. You can manage your notification preferences under Account → Settings → Notifications.
Tips for Effective Communication
- Be clear and concise in your messages.
- Be respectful and professional in all interactions.
- Provide any necessary context to help the other party respond effectively.
- Respond promptly to messages to keep the conversation moving.
