After you've set up your tutor account, you can start creating lesson listings for students to browse and book. Each lesson you create becomes a dedicated page visible in the Tutorverse search results.
Step 1: Navigate to Your Lessons
Go to your Tutor Dashboard and click Lessons → Add New Lesson.
Step 2: Provide a Lesson Title
Make it catchy and descriptive. Good titles attract more bookings. For example:
- "Maths for High School Students — NSC & IEB"
- "Advanced Piano Lessons for Beginners"
- "A-Level Physics Exam Preparation"
Step 3: Choose a Subject
Select the primary subject area for your lesson. This is how students find your listing through the search engine and subject filters.
Step 4: Set Your Price
Set a custom hourly rate for each lesson. It's helpful to research what other tutors in your subject area are charging to stay competitive. You can adjust your rate at any time.
Step 5: Add a Detailed Description
Tell students exactly what they can expect from your lessons. Include:
- The topics you cover.
- The proficiency levels you cater to (e.g., Grade 10–12, University, Beginner).
- Your teaching approach and what makes your sessions effective.
Step 6: Upload a Lesson Photo
Clear, high-quality images have a significant impact on booking rates. Choose a photo that represents your teaching environment or subject matter.
Step 7: Set Your Delivery Method
Choose how you deliver the lesson:
- Online: Conduct lessons remotely via video call.
- At Location: Students come to your specified teaching venue.
- Travel to Student: You travel to the student within a defined radius.
Step 8: Publish Your Lesson
Once you're happy with all the details, publish your lesson. It will immediately become visible in the Tutorverse search results.
Updating Your Lessons
Go to the Lessons tab in your Tutor Dashboard to edit, deactivate, or remove any of your lessons at any time.
